Anadarko Petroleum promoted Robert D. Lawler to senior vice president, international and deepwater operations. Lawler previously served as Anadarko’s vice president of operations, where he was responsible for the company’s production and development activities in the US onshore southern and Appalachia regions, and the international region. He has more than 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning his career in 1988 with Kerr-McGee, which was acquired by Anadarko in 2006. Lawler has held positions within Anadarko’s operations and business planning and analysis departments. He holds a BS degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Rice University, Houston, Texas.
