Session 1: Do You Know Your Stimulated Reservoir Volume?
Session Chairpersons Leo Lasecki, Chesapeake Energy; Chad Jongeling, Chesapeake Energy

While the Haynesville shale has a long history of unconventional development, there remains many questions regarding how to most effectively stimulate the reservoir to ensure both economic and efficient recovery of hydrocarbons.  This session will discuss techniques and tools to better understand the size of the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV), including the pressure-dependent effects to long-term productivity, and practical solutions to optimize future wells.

Session 2: Drinking the Milkshake - The Optimal Field Development Strategy
Session Chairpersons Leo Lasecki, Chesapeake Energy; Kevin Krynowsky, Aethon Energy

The North Louisiana/East Texas Haynesville and Bossier formations offer massive, highly-concentrated natural gas resources in the United States.  The depth and stress environment of the basin has provided many challenges to maximizing recovery of the entire hydrocarbon column.  This session will investigate field development strategies, including parent/child, well spacing, stack/staggering, completion intensity, that operators have explored to better develop the resource. The focus will be on practical and economic solutions for maximizing recovery efficiencies.

Session 3: Producing Green Gas: Operations and Sustainability
Session Chairpersons Chris Born, BPX; Ami Arief, Tellurian

As a significant contributor of the US natural gas supply, the Haynesville shale production and operations have their own unique challenges and milestones. In this session, we will review and discuss operational practices for frac hit mitigation, tubing and chemical program selection, design and implementation of more efficient equipment and processes. All of these practices are achieved while delivering responsibly-sourced gas and being good stewards with proper environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibilities.

Session 4: Tying It All Together - Midstream, Liquefied Natural Gas, and Global Gas Markets
Session Chairpersons Chris Born, BPX; Ami Arief, Tellurian

The midstream infrastructure for North Louisiana underwent a great build process when the Haynesville shale was initially developed around 2008. About two decades later when completion technology and horizontal drilling efficiencies revitalize the shale play, the midstream and marketing efforts for the basin are also revitalized. The transport of hydrocarbons for the basin expanded from rebuilding of legacy East Texas gathering, repositioning transportation systems to and from the Gulf Coast to cryogenically liquifying the methane for transport across international waters. In this session, we will explore and discuss the roles of midstream and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in helping shape the Haynesville’s development and activities to ultimately deliver cleaner energy for the world.
