Visa Invitation Letter
If you are a presenting author or an invited speaker in need of a visa letter, please contact Jinny Bae for further assistance.
Due to a large amount of fraudulent activity, we now have a strict protocol in place for international visitors that require a visa. Determine whether you will require a visa to enter Canada and plan accordingly. If you require a visa for entry, please be advised that the process of obtaining a visa may take several months. Create an official SPE invitation letter that you can print and use to send to the embassy or consulate.

DO NOT register or book a hotel room until you have received your visa.
- It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to obtain the necessary paperwork for entry to Canada. This letter does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, nor does it commit SPE to assist you in obtaining a visa. SPE will not pay any expenses incurred by you. We cannot send the letter to the embassy or consulate for you, nor can SPE contact the embassy or consulate on your behalf. We do not provide visa letters for family members.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations and requests for refunds must be received by SPE in writing on or before 13 November 2023 for refund of registration fees, less CAD 75 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after 13 November 2023. Send your request by email to CanadianRegistration@spe.org.
Badge Pickup
Badges will be available for pick up on-site at the registration desk.
