Additional Resources
Your conference or journal paper has been accepted for publication. How can you best get the word out?
Share it with your professional communities on social media platforms:
- X
- YouTube
- Kudos
Best Practices:
- Choose an interesting image from your paper, or better yet, create a short (30-sec or less) video abstract of your paper.
- Include a link to your paper on OnePetro.org (preferably the doi number).
- Incorporate your @s and #s right in your text and keep text short, with a call to actioon.
- @ your coauthors or sponsoring institutions.
- Include 3-6 key words and industry hashtags, such as #oilandgas and #research. Include #SPEJournal and #WeAreSPE, so SPE can reshare and promote your paper as well.
- Share with your professional colleagues and encourage your co-authors to do the same. If colleagues are not on social media, share your paper in an email and share on your institutional communication channels.
- Be sure to check the comments section and engage thoughtful comments to keep the conversation going.
