Sections

Our sections are located around the world and provide an operating framework for all major society activities. Sections are semi-autonomous units and self-governing within the framework of SPE policies. Members residing of a section annually elect section officers and directors responsible for conducting section operations. SPE sections are organized into geographic regions, and each region has representation on the SPE Board of Directors, the chief governing body of the society.

Establish a Section

Sections provide the opportunity for SPE members to exchange technical information, network with peers, support student chapters and engage in other activities to benefit their communities. Any group of SPE members in good standing in a particular geographic area can request to form a new section.

Section Awards recognize SPE sections whose efforts in member programs, technology dissemination, and cooperation with other SPE sections distinguish them.
