As the program chairperson of the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ (SPE) Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference, it is with great pride that I invite you to The Woodlands, Texas again.

We look at the industry and see ourselves, ironically, as a victim of our own success. Through the innovation inroads of the hydraulic fracturing process, we have worked to increase domestic oil production to more than nine million barrels of oil per day. Similarly, and simultaneously, natural gas production has soared.
