Official Workshop Hotel
Please download this form and email it corporate@torarica.com to reserve your hotel room and identify yourself as an SPE workshop attendee. For payment over the phone, please call +597 471500 ext. 5259.
The negotiated rate starts at USD 128 per night and includes:
- Breakfast
- Complimentary use of the Tor Wellness on premises of the Hotel Torarica
- Complimentary wireless internet in all rooms
- Service charge, tax and utility fee
Check-in: 15:00 hours, Check-out time: 12:00 hours. Early check-in and late check-outs are subject to hotel availability. Rates at the hotel are offered three (3) days before and after the workshop, based on availability. The attendee rate is guaranteed until 10 March. After 10 March, hotel reservations will be subject to availability at the prevailing rates.
Ground Transportation
There are 2 airports in Suriname. The hotel venue provides transportation from to/both airports.
The Johan Adolph Pengel Airport is the international airport and is one hour away from the Hotel. The rates are:
- Shuttle bus USD 20 per person each way
- Private taxi USD 55 for up to 3 people
The other airport is Zorg & Hoop and it is 15 minutes away from the Hotel. The rate is USD 10 per person each way.

Visa and Travel Information
To learn about visa requirements contact VFS Global, the only Official and Authorized partner for the Government of the Republic of Suriname/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation to offer a Suriname E-VISA/E-Tourist Card.
Attendees from countries that require a visa for entry are reminded that the process of obtaining a visa may take several months. Create an official SPE invitation letter that you can print and use in obtaining a visa. Please note that this letter does not guarantee that you will be granted a visa, nor does it commit SPE to assist you in obtaining a visa.

COVID-19 Information
- Review the website of The Ministry of Health of Suriname for updated information related to COVID-19 requirements to travel to Suriname. This website is in Dutch. Use your Google browser to translate the page to English.
- The Royal Torarica is strictly observing COVID-19 rules during events. Read more (pdf).
- COVID-19 PCR and rapid Antigen tests are available at the hotel venue for hotel guests only. Registration is required. Fill out this form to complete your test registration.
- Some airlines have partnered with testing providers to offer packable test kits, proctor testing, etc. i.e American Airlines and Caribbean Airlines. Check your destination entry requirements for the most up-to-date information.
