Membership Demographics

The following bar graph lets you explore how the SPE's membership has varied over the years.

The bars show the total membership in a region.

You can hover over the segments of the bars to see the composition by country. Some members have affiliate sections so they might live in a different country than the section.

To see how this data changes over time press the play button. The animation can be stopped at any time by pressing the stop button. Additionally, the graph for any particular year can be selected by clicking on the years below the graph.

Resizing:
The graph is designed to fill the entire width of your browser's window. It will resize when you expand or shrink your browser window. If you change the window size while the graph is animated, the blue, visible plot area will not change so you will need to resize the window again after the animation is finished.

Values:
You can find the values at any point on the graph by hovering your pointer over that location.

Toggling Plot Visibility:
By clicking on the items in the legend you can turn on and off the various lines on the graph.

Single Region in Sunburst:
By clicking on a specific region on the sunburst graph you can get a view of the discipline breakdown for a region. Click again on the region to revert the view.

Tools:
There is a tools menu at the upper right of the graph which is visible when you move your cursor to that area. With these you can capture an image of the graph, zoom (in, out, or continuously), pan, autoscale the axes for a single plot, reset the axes to the original values, turn on/off spike lines, turn on/off hover information and compare hover information.
