Giovanni Paccaloni Young Professional Service Award

The Giovanni Paccaloni Young Professional Service Award of the Society of Petroleum Engineers recognizes both:

  • Excellence and leadership in service to the public and the community, in accordance with local customs.
  • Service to the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the profession of petroleum engineering, or the petroleum industry.

Both above criteria are considered during the judging process for this award; however, they are weighted differently: service to the public and the community is given greater importance, accounting for 60% of the evaluation, whereas service to the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the profession of petroleum engineering, or the petroleum industry accounts for 40%.

While SPE-sponsored public or community services will be considered when evaluating candidates for this award, paid public or community services will not.
