Field Trip Information

Note: This year's field trip is now fully booked and closed for registration.

The 2026 North America Student Symposium Field Trip will take place at Lockhart Crossing, a CO₂ recycle facility operated by TMR Exploration, offering participants an opportunity to experience active operations firsthand.

Attendees will have the chance to observe ongoing drilling activity and tour the facility. To ensure a high-quality experience, the field trip will be capped at 80 participants and organized into two shifts for 40 attendees each. On site, groups will rotate between touring the drilling rigs and the facility for an immersive, well-structured visit.

The itinerary may also include a visit to the PERTT Lab prior to departing for Lockhart Crossing.

Participation in the field trip first comes, first served, so early registration is strongly encouraged.

Date: Friday, 27 February
Time: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Field trip attire: long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and closed-toe shoes.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be received in writing no later than 13 February 2026. Cancellations made after 13 February 2026 will NOT be refunded. Please send cancellation requests to registration@spe.org.
