Course Description
The Logging While Drilling, LWD, Formation Evaluation course is designed for drillers, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers who deal with logging data, wireline and drilling, on a daily basis. The course covers combinations of logging tools design, environmental corrections, geo-steering, and interpretation methods.

Instructor
Dr. Moustafa Oraby is currently a Petroleum Engineering Professor and the Director of the Graduate Program at the American University in Cairo. He has 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He worked for both operating companies, ARCO exploration and Production Technology, and service companies, Halliburton and Schlumberger. He has global experience since he worked and lived in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Far East. His research interest areas are Low Salinity Enhanced Oil Recovery, Vibro-Seismic Enhanced Oil Recovery, Unconventional Reservoirs Evaluation and Stimulation, and recently he is working heavily on green hydrogen production directly from seawater.
