Formation Evaluation While Drilling

The Logging While Drilling, LWD, Formation Evaluation course is designed for drillers, petrophysicists and petroleum engineers who deal with logging data, wireline and drilling, on a daily basis. The course covers combinations of logging tools design, environmental corrections, geo-steering, and interpretation methods.
Intermediate to Advanced
After completing this course, students will be able to understand logging while drilling, geo-steering, and formation evaluation calculations, and choose between different interpretations methods.

All cancellations must be received no later than 14 days prior to the course start date. Cancellations made after the 14-day window will not be refunded. Refunds will not be given due to no show situations.

Dr. Moustafa Oraby is currently a Petroleum Engineering professor and the director of the Graduate Program at the American University in Cairo. He has 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He worked for both operating companies, ARCO exploration and production technology, and service companies, Halliburton and Schlumberger. He gained global experience working and living in North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, and the Far East. He delivered multiple industry courses on Wireline and LWD Formation Evaluation, NMR Technology and Applications, Logging While Drilling Measurements and Interpretation, Unconventional Reservoirs Properties and Evaluation Techniques and Casedhole Logging Technology and Evaluation.
