SPE Patron Program
As an industry professional, you know the value an SPE membership has on your career.
The SPE Patron Program is an opportunity to share the benefit of membership with your colleagues. You can take pride in supporting the Society while earning credits for recruiting new members. When your referrals join SPE, they will gain access to all the benefits membership has to offer.
The SPE Patron Program awards free membership upon achieving specific recruitment milestones for qualified referrals.*

5 | 1 year free membership
10 | 2 years free membership
25 | 3 years free membership
50 | 5 years free membership
75 | 10 years free membership
100 | Life membership (Century Club Member inductee. Century Club status can be achieved through either program.)
The SPE Patron Program will run alongside the existing Recruitment Awards Program. Members who have earned prior credits toward gifts through the awards program will maintain their credits. The new recruitment program will start all members from zero and count any qualified referral as of 1 January 2022.
To be given credit, the new member you recruited will have to disclose you referred them to SPE. The recruitment period runs from 1 January through 31 December. Bulk dues program administrators and student members are not eligible to earn SPE Patron Program awards. Recruitment credits are reflected in your SPE member profile. Milestones achieved will count towards free membership in the following year.
The credit evaluation will take place on 15 December. Members who have achieved recruitment milestones as of that date will have the free membership applied for the upcoming membership term starting 1 January. Any milestones achieved after 15 December will be applied to the following year’s membership.
*A qualified referral pertains to the recruitment of a new professional member. This excludes prior professional members who are reinstating and student members.
