Upcoming Student Paper Contests

If a contest or a division is not held in your assigned region, you can request to present your paper in an assigned alternate region. Every region has only one alternate region. To make an alternate region paper request, or if the alternate region is not holding a contest, please contact spc@spe.org.

COVID-19 Updates: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and subsequent restrictions on travel, all Regional SPC competitions are aiming to run as virtual competitions. A guide on how this will be run can be found in the Student Paper Contest Video Conferencing Guide (pdf). For any questions, please email the Young Member Programs Team at spc@spe.org.

Information for Regional Winners: With restrictions and advice from recognized organisations from across the globe being so fluid, it is impossible for us to make predictions as to how things will develop. We are not confident that travel restrictions will be sufficiently lifted in time for all student contestants to secure visas and tickets to attend ATCE for the International round of SPC. We wish to enable SPC contestants to stay ahead of the curve and avoid disappointment, so we will not be asking students to travel to ATCE this year and we aim to allow all student to present virtually. For more information, please see the full statement here.
