Safety Leadership Academy

Disciplines: Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability | Management

Course Description

Join us and become part of a new era of Safety Culture and Leadership

Logos

Welcome to the Safety Leadership Academy, a collaboration between the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), CEDEP Executive Education, and the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP).

This unique and highly differentiating safety leadership academy is tailored for the Oil & Gas industry. Join world class experts from across the industry and beyond for this disruptive safety leadership academy.  Explore and learn to master advanced leadership concepts and safety management practices that will help participants develop the mindset, skills and culture required to cultivate and sustain the honest conversations needed to ensure theories enable practice – not to mention the network of fellow professionals who become your sounding boards and friends.

Participants will develop leadership capabilities for changing the safety paradigm and to help those on their journey to making zero harm the way we work. The program was initially inspired by the insights of the SPE ‘Getting to Zero and Beyond’ technical report distilling the experience of over 800 industry professionals. Those insights were further substantiated by the IOGP 452 and 453 reports, and Reports 621 and 642; ERM’s Safety Surveys and CEDEP’s extensive expertise on safety leadership development through transformative executive education.

The program is designed as a learning journey convening cohorts mixing HSE and Operations, Operators and Contractors each bringing their real safety challenges into the learning environment where faculty can create the conditions for those challenges to become deep learning experiences. The program includes individual and group coaching, going beyond traditional safety leadership and preparing managers to lead in a transforming, volatile and complex world.
