Petroleum Professional Development Center Training (PPDC)

 

The Society of Petroleum Engineers is proud to announce our collaboration with PPDC, as we move to bring more SPE training to the Midland, Texas area. PPDC is our newest host for SPE training courses and plans to offer regularly a wide variety of topics throughout the year.

The Petroleum Professional Development Center (PPDC) of Midland College is located in the Jack G. Elam Building at the corner Main Street and Illinois Avenue, in downtown Midland. The entrance for the center is on the 100 block of W. Illinois Avenue.

Parking

Curbside parking in this part of downtown Midland is extremely limited, the parking lot immediately across the street from the PPDC is reserved for Midland City Hall use, and the parking structure next to the PPDC is reserved for private use.

By agreement between the PPDC and First United Methodist Church of Midland, center visitors and students may use the church parking lot on the west side of the 300 block of N. Main Street, just 1/2 block north of the center. Look for the sign in the lot.

Registration Information 

Courses will run with varying lengths from 1-5 days. Courses  will begin at 8:00am and end at 5:00pm daily, with morning check in from 7:30-8:00 on the first day of each class. 

Training Course Fees Include

All courses will have light morning and afternoon refreshments, training materials, Credit Hours (CEUs/PDHs) and access to SPE's Learning Management System, which tracks your SPE course history. Lunch is served with some courses and SPE will make this fact known prior to class. SPE does our best to choose menus that offer a variety; however, we aren’t always able to accommodate all dietary needs and are happy to recommend offsite restaurants should the menu not fit your needs.

Cancellation Policy

To receive a full refund, all cancellations must be received in writing no later than 14 days prior to the course start date. Cancellations made after the 14-day window will not be refunded. Refunds will not be given due to no-show situations. Send cancellation requests by email to trainingcourses@spe.org. SPE reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule the course at will.
