Young Professionals Committee

About the Committee

The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is responsible for supporting young professional members (professional members under the age of 36) by developing programs and initiatives that will have a specific benefit to those at early stages of their career. These programs will support young members by addressing themes related to networking, gaining a fundamental awareness of industry practices, and building a long-term career in the oil and gas industry.

The committee oversees SPE International YP Programs, including international YP Congress, YP Summit, and Emerging Leaders Alliance applications. The committee develops strategic initiatives and resources specifically targeted at supporting young professional members and retention of student members after graduation. They also support and promote other SPE initiatives useful for YPs, including the Virtual Career Pathways Fair, The Way Ahead, eMentoring, and SPE YP Awards.
