Student Paper Contest (SPC)
The SPE Student Paper Contest is our premier presentation contest to showcase students individual technical expertise.
SPE coordinates Regional Student Paper Contests at the undergraduate, master's, and PhD levels across 14 regions. Students compete against other students in their region for the opportunity to advance to the International Student Paper Contest held during ATCE.
Entering the Contest
Contestants submit an abstract of their paper for consideration to the contest. All applications are vetted and if successful, you are invited to present at your regional competition. Winners of the regional contests are then invited to the SPE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition to present their full technical paper to an international panel of judges. They also have the option to have their work published in OnePetro.
